N.A.S.  GUIDELINES  FOR  FILE  PREPARATION N.A.S. uses PCs for final output. For vinyl output: if you have a Mac and can convert files for PC, that would be helpful. If not, we can convert most files IF they are prepared properly. For digital output: Mac or PC files are acceptable. Whenever possible, please provide more than one file format to in crease the chances of producing a workable file. If you have questions, please contact the Art Dept. at 876-7599 x16. ** IF FINAL OUTPUT IS TO BE COMPUTER "CUT VINYL" ** 1.  NO half-tones or gradients 2.  NO .jpg, .gif, .tif, .bmp, .pdf files 3.  NO files from office applications 4.  all text MUST be converted to paths/curves/outlines 5.  all objects must be vectored (lines and points) 6.  files MUST carry appropriate extensions If you're sending a disk for vinyl production, please also provide a clean black & white printout. Acceptable disks: CD-ROM, Zip-100 (FOR PC ONLY) If you're e-mailing artwork, please also send an Acrobat Reader file so that we can see what the image is supposed to look like.
